Voice Therapy

Voice therapy is physical therapy for the voice. In voice therapy, I will help you rehabilitate your voice from an injury, reduce chronic hoarseness and voice strain, and help you get the most out of your voice if you have a chronic illness such as voice tremor, vocal fold paralysis, or muscle tension dysphonia.

In addition to traditional voice therapy, I am able to provide treatment for Paradoxical Vocal Fold Motion (PVFM)/Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD), chronic cough, and irritable larynx syndrome.

  • As a part of my voice therapy service, I maintain the required evaluation report, plan of care, and treatment notes. I can provide you with a receipt that contains the information necessary for you to submit the cost to a health care savings/flexible spending account or to your insurance company, if you have out-of-network coverage. I do not maintain any relationships with insurance companies and am not involved in any aspect of insurance submission.

  • If you are on Medicare, I am unfortunately prohibited by law from seeing you for voice or speech therapy because I am not an independent Medicare Provider. Medicare regulations prohibit me from accepting private payment for services that are covered under Medicare. If you would like to work with me, I would be happy to see you at Beth Israel. Our office can be reached at (617) 632 - 7400.
